This is my truth,
because for too long,
“the system” held the pen.
Now I get to write it myself.”

Kim Krawczyk

Author & Recovery Educator

andstillispeakofficial@gmail.com

Kimberly Krawczyk is a woman in long-term recovery, an advocate, trainer, speaker, and author of And Still I Speak: A Foster Child’s Story of Silence and Survival.

Kimberly’s story is one of unimaginable loss, trauma, and resilience.

She survived childhood abuse, foster care, addiction, family suicide, overdose, institutional betrayal, and years of silence. Rather than allowing those experiences to define her, she transformed them into a life dedicated to helping others heal.

For more than three decades, Kimberly has combined lived experience with professional expertise as a Certified Addiction Recovery Coach, trainer, and speaker, educating thousands of professionals on trauma-informed care, overdose prevention, non-stigmatizing language, and multiple pathways to recovery.

Her mission is to give a voice to those whose pain has gone unseen and to show that healing is possible. She continues to advocate for trauma-informed systems and the power of lived experience, reminding those who feel invisible that their voice matters and recovery is always possible.

“When we speak our truth, we create space for others to find theirs.”

Susie Lordi is a graduate of Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications with a concentration in Creative Writing.

Susie is a woman in long-term recovery from a disease that once threatened to take her life.

She is also the proud mom of a handsome rescue beagle named Frankie. By the time she celebrated 24 years of sobriety, she had watched far too many young people lose their lives to fentanyl.

Determined to turn heartbreak into hope, she founded 24 Hr. Power, Inc., a Massachusetts-based nonprofit that uses Recovery Graffiti to inspire healing, reduce stigma, and celebrate every pathway to recovery.

Since 2018, 24 Hr. Power Inc. has created vibrant murals and facilitated thousands of workshops for children, teens, and adults. The organization’s artwork, often created in multiple languages, can be found throughout Massachusetts, serving as powerful reminders that recovery is possible and that no one has to struggle alone.

24 Hr. Power Inc. proudly partners with the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Drug Endangered Children Alliance (DEC), the Plymouth County Drug Abuse Task Force (PCDATF), the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), the Old Colony YMCA, and the City of Brockton’s Day Center Advisory Board. The organization also collaborates with numerous nonprofit agencies throughout Massachusetts to bring messages of hope, healing, and recovery to communities in need.

Susie’s relationship with author Kim Krawczyk began years ago through their shared commitment to recovery. When Kim asked Susie to collaborate on her memoir, she accepted without hesitation. Helping others find their way to hope, joy, and peace in recovery will always be their passion.
